There are larger mammals that live in or travel through the park, including coyotes, javelinas, mountain lions, bobcats and even the smallish mule deer!
Best chances are at dusk and dawn….which are also the opening and closing hours of the park, so timing is crucial for viewing larger wildlife.
In warmer months it’s likely you’ll see one sunning on the trail and you may have to wait for a moment while it moseys across.
