To add an alias you just need to follow these simple steps: 1. After login, select Options - More mail settings option. Now click on "Create an Outlook alias" option given under "Managing your account" section. It'll open the page where you can create an alias to your Hotmail account.
Just enter your desired email name in "Email address" textbox and click on "Create an alias" button. It'll ask for a confirmation whether you want to receive the new emails in a new folder or an existing folder which is your Inbox. Your Hotmail account will be upgraded to account immediately.
After entering a name for the local account and typing a password to protect the account, click Next button to continue the installation or upgrade. If you don't have a Hotmail account, you can create a new account at but if you already have an email account at Hotmail including @hotmail.com, @msn.com, @live.com, etc, you can upgrade your existing Hotmail account to new account without any need of creating new account at
Step 2: To create a user account and use Windows 10 without a Microsoft account, simply click the option titled Skip this step (as shown in the above picture), located lower-left of the screen.
