In 1955 they moved to Kennebec, SD to make their new home on the Medicine Creek Ranch on the Lower Brule Indian Reservation.
After living in Kennebec for almost 12 years, they moved to the ranch on the Big Laramie River in 1967.
In 2015, Laddie was inducted into the Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame, an honor that he was very proud of.
They enjoyed spending the winters in Arizona where they met many lifelong friends; and returning to Oacoma during the summer months.

Moore, 83, of Kennebec, SD were held am Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Kennebec Methodist Church in Kennebec with burial in the Kennebec Cemetery at Kennebec.
Visitation was one hour prior to the funeral service. Early in his career Ron worked for Lyman County Highway Department, Kennebec City Maintenance, and then he became manager of Kennebec Co-op Lumber and Hardware.
Ronald Lewie Moore, son of Lewie and Leola (Paige) Moore, was born December 18, 1934, at Kennebec and was raised on a farm two miles northwest of Kennebec. The family then owned and operated Moore’s Truck Stop from June 1984 until November 1992 when it was sold.
